Pole Dance Workshops with Emma Polerina

We’re thrilled to announce our next visiting instructor: Emma Cruickshank (@emma_polerina)! She will be holding two workshops on Sunday, June 14th and is also available for private lessons that weekend (contact us for more details!) Emma is a professional pole dancer, instructor and studio owner based in Dundee, Scotland. After discovering pole during her time at university, pole quickly became her passion and she soon took the leap to open her own studio and online platform. Emma is best known for her dynamic movements and is drawn to powerful elements such as kips, powerspins and flips. Her true joy is linking these explosive tricks with moments of fluidity through heel technique and precision.

On the stage, Emma is all smiles and high energy. You can see this in her teaching style; Emma’s priority is to create a fun and supportive teaching environment where students feel safe to be themselves, have a laugh and learn A LOT!

Description

Kips n’ Tricks // 13:00 – 14:15

LEVEL: High Beginner to Advanced, heels experience required
TO BRING: Heels and knee pads are essential
DESCRIPTION: A mini-sequence based class that will have you flowing and flying around the bottom third of the pole. We will be breaking down some of Emma’s favourite transitions that will have you seamlessly gliding into some jaw dropping kips and heel-based tricks!

Let’s Dance // 14:30 – 15:45

LEVEL: All levels
TO BRING: Heels always encouraged but not necessary, socks are welcome! Knee pads or coverings are recommended
DESCRIPTION: Choreography-based workshop that will incorporate Emma’s favourite dance elements. You will learn a fluid routine packed with pirouettes, twizzles, floor work and thready transitions that will have you gliding around the bottom third of the pole.

The fine print

  • Eríal Pole reserves the right to cancel the course or individual classes if sufficient participation is not reached.
  • Refunds will be offered only in the case of cancellation by Eríal Pole.
  • If a student is unable to attend a class they have purchased, they must notify us at least 12 hours before the scheduled class. The purchase price will be refunded as credit to be used at Eríal Pole. No refunds are offered for no-shows without notification or within 12 hours.
